Sister Katy Renews Vows at Mount St. Francis Center

Jun 12, 2023

Sister Katy Orellana renewed her vows at a Liturgy at Mount St. Francis Center on Monday, June 12.

“Today we celebrate Katy’s renewed ‘yes’ to continue on this journey of religious life with us,” said Sister Sarah Kohles in her reflection. “The celebration of vows is always a delightful occasion. Our celebration is always about more than the individual sister. It is a celebration of community. We renew our own commitments as Katy renews hers.”

Sister Katy is from El Salvador. She will continue to share community life and participate in ministry with the Dubuque Franciscan Sisters.
