Dubuque Franciscan Associates and members of our Franciscan Way of Life program gathered at the Mustard Seed Farm in Ames, Iowa, on September 2. The Mustard Seed Community Farm is a Catholic Worker Farm dedicated to sustainable, simple living, love of our neighbor, and creating a community in which everyone can participate in growing and eating delicious, healthy, locally produced food. “We cleaned garlic and onions, toured the grounds, ate a lovely lunch, and had a reflection time in the second half of the day to dive into creation’s lament,” said Franciscan Way of Life member Christine Guevara.
