Sister Susan Seitz is the daughter of Raymond and Aileen (Takes) Seitz. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Cascade. In 1953, she entered Mount St. Francis and professed her final vows in 1956. Sister’s teaching ministry included Mater Christi Catholic School in North Riverside, Illinois; St. Mary’s Catholic School, North Washington, Iowa; and St. Edward School, Waterloo, Iowa. She also ministered as the Associate Director of Religious Education in the Diocese of Dubuque and was Regional Coordinator for members of the Sisters of St. Francis community who served in Dubuque and Chicago. In 1980, she was elected to president of the congregation. Sister served in Tyler, Texas, as the Religious Education Coordinator for Immaculate Conception Parish for 26 years.
