Sister Davida Loosbrock was born in St. Kilian, Minnesota, to Arthur and Emma (Klontz) Loosbrock. She received a bachelor’s degree from Briar Cliff University, Sioux City, Iowa, and a master’s degree from Creighton University, Omaha. Sister taught at schools in Dubuque, Kingsley, Halbur-Templeton-Roselle in Iowa; and North Riverside, Illinois. She served as a principal and pastoral minister in parishes in St. Kilian, Lismore, and Wilmont in Minnesota. In Omaha, sister worked with the elderly and as a volunteer police chaplain. Sister was later a pastoral associate in Scottsville, Kentucky, and a volunteer with Catholic Charities in Greenville, South Carolina. In 2007, she was part of the first Sister Water Project trip to Honduras. Sister lives at Clare House. “Jubilee is a time to celebrate God’s love, guidance, and faithfulness,” she said.
